The book, Nonsie Tata, brings to focus the tribal affairs of the colonial era, building the Mission Station to Petrol Post at Tambul, then building the airstrip and road network that brought in vast changes to the Stone Age society. They try to assimilate Western technology. The natives thought of whitemen as if their ancestors had resurrected to free the black men from tribal warfare.
