The underground of the ancient capital city of Champa kingdom, namely Simhapura - City of Lion in Tra Kieu (Quang Nam province), still has hidden historical mysteries despite large - size archaeological excavations in 1927 - 1928 and several others in recent decades which shed light on the past of this city. The art collection of Father Anthony Nguyen Truong Thang is not big and do not originate from archaeological excavations but it is rich in type and materials; hence, these artefacts can be used for a comparative study to those unearthed in the official excavations at the archaeological sites in order to understand more about the glorious past of the Tra Kieu citadel.
