'Although it no longer exists, the ancient kingdom of Champa has left on the strip of coastal plains of Central Vietnam many unique cultural heritages. Of those remaining legacies, the largest, most valuable and richest are the ancient statues. It is no coincidence that currently, in addition to the Danang Museum of Cham Sculpture, the ancient Champa statues are being preserved and displayed in many large museums at home and abroad. This book not only introduces Champa art mainly through newly discovered Cham statues, but also links these new statues to Champa sculpture art that has been identified and accepted. The first and the second parts are the chapters on the statues and sculptures discovered in the North and South Hai Van area. The third part is about the new statues discovered and researched after 1975 in the area of Binh Dinh province - the center of the Champa kingdom for centuries.
