This publication is the outcome of are the edited version of papers presented at the International Workshop on the Legal Regime of Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) and Marine Scientific Research (MSR) held on 4-5 October 2018, at Bodrum, Turkey. The Workshop was organised by the Ankara University Research Center of the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) in conjunction with the University of Virginia Centre for Oceans Law and Policy (COLP). it was sponsored by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Development, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey and the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO. This was DEHUKAM's second international vrorkshop following the first of the Legal Status of Submarine Cables, Pipelines and the Area Beyond National Jurisdiction (ABNJ), held on 7-8 April 2016, Ankara, Turkey. The Workshop coincided with the celebrations European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and constituted Turkey's contribution to those celebrations.
