Access to justice is regarded as the basic tenet of law, as it is the reason for law being legislated. Although "justice" is always read as part and parcel of the judicial process, yet its application is far more outreaching. Every single issue that revolves around duties and rights has justice embedded to it, be it criminal or civil. Hence it is very important for everyone to understand the all-embracing concept of justice and whether it is reasonably and fairly accessible to all, regardless of one's social status.
