This book emerged from the need to have insights from the planning, designing, and operating a large urban transport project, the Ahmedabad Janmarg – a Bus Rapid Transit System. The analysis is based on the concepts from the Actor-Network Theory. It describes the changing roles of various actors - humans, organisations and technology, and how their actions are transformed into collaborations in shaping urban and transport systems in a large city.
