Product Description

The present work is an ethnographic study of the PauriBhuinya, a hill tribe of northern Orissa now Odisha. Though the name of the PauriBhuinya occurs in many anthropological literatures, an in-depth published work of standard is not available so far. Thus came up the idea of the present study. In Chapter-III discusses the history of the Bhuinya. Who were the Bhuinyas and how they are different from the hill or PauriBhuinya. the social organization like kinship, family, marriage and political organization has been delineated in Chapter-IV. The Pauri Bhuinyas are shifting cultivator and now they have become settled agriculturists.
