Dr. B.R. Ambedkar educated himself as a the most qualified person of his time, inspired untouchable castes to reject Brahmanical Social Order (BSO) that kept them socially degraded, economically poor, culturally despised, economically poor, culturally despised, politically powerless, and denied them the basic human rights. He is also credited with providing a spark for the conversion of hundreds of thousands of Dalits with his Ambedkar (ite) Buddhism. Ambedkar has been honoured with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.
