This book is a biography of the Waweru son of Njuguna. It's got two very distinct parts. One part, traces Waweru's ancestral roots from the Thumbi clan of Ambui lineage. Ambui otherwise also known as Wambui was one of the older daughters of Gikuyu and Mumbi. The book in addition revisits the authors life as a student in India and his professional experience in the service of the government of Kenya and on his subsequent profession as a renown aqua farmer. Waweru belongs to a clan, like any other Gikuyu male and he identifies with the Thumbi clan of the of the Mumbui or Ambui lineage.
