This book discusses the constitutional powers, functions and authority of Nigeria's regional legislature, the State House of Assembly, which include the plenary authority to make laws for the peace, order and good government of the state, the power to check other organs of the state government, remove heads of the executive branch, confirm certain appointments, control public funds and approve expenditure of the state and to carry out investigations of state government activities.
