As events have proven, internal political events usually have impacts on foreign policy, Nigeria is not an exception. As it is now well known, the deadly blow to Nigeria's image abroad and its foreign policy that once gave her a pharia status together with the financial difficulty and human rights violations was due to poor management of the policy despite immense efforts by diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Certainly, there is need to rectify this and improve the activities of the Ministry. History is very important in diplomatic activities, this is the reason for this study.
