Kalasha people and their culture is a collection of essays accompanied by high quality visual material that provides the reader with a holistic account of the approximately four thousand remaining indigenous Kalasha community members residing in the Mumuret, Biriu and Rukmu valleys located in North Western Pakistan. Tsiam according kalasha folklore is the name given to the community’s mythological homeland and the community currently dwells in three distinct valleys located within the Hindu Kush mountain range.
