This book looks at a range of educationists who contributed to initiatives commenced in the eighties when the writer was Cultural Affairs Officer at the British Council. Its enlightened Representatives who provided much assistance to the country encouraged him to move into English Language Teaching too, following creative programmes in the promotion of literature, including of Sri Lankan writing in English.
