The Philippine Contemporary, to scale the past and the possible is a landmark exhibition that offers an outstanding survey of the development of modern art and the vitality of contemporary art in the Philippines. The major sections of the exhibition – Horizon (1915-1964), Trajectory (1965-1983), and Latitude (1984-present) – index the variety and chronology of styles, movements, institutions, and collectives that marked the significant shifting tides in Philipines art history from the early 20th century to the present. Two other sections in the exhibit, Sphere and direction – keep the dynamic and diverse pulse of artistic expression.
