In the history of building and preserving the country of our nation, Buddhism has made important contributions to the formation of Vietnamese national ideology and culture. With a history of more than 2,000 years, Buddhism has integrated and accompanied as an important element in the country's socio-cultural life. In particular, Buddhism flourished and became the main ideology in the political life of our country under the Ly dynasty. Through nine generations of kings with more than 200 years of reign (1009 - 1225), both Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism coexisted and developed. However, Buddhism was revered by the Ly kings and had favorable policies, creating conditions for strong development. Therefore, Buddhism has become the national mainstream ideology, dominating all aspects of social life, including politics. The Ly Dynasty has promoted the positive and progressive elements of Buddhism to serve the construction and protection of the Fatherland, take care of the people's lives, and contribute to building a prosperous Dai Viet civilization for more than two centuries. Trai qua chin đoi vua voi hon 200 nam tri vi (1009 - 1225), ca Phat giao, Nho giao va Đao giao đeu cung ton tai va phat trien. Tuy nhien, đao Phat đuoc cac vua Ly ton sung va co nhung chinh sach uu ai, tao đieu kien cho phat trien manh me. Do vay, Phat giao tro thanh tu tuong chinh thong quoc gia, chi phoi moi mat cua đoi song xa hoi, trong đo co chinh tri. Trieu Ly đa phat huy yeu to tich cuc, tien bo cua đao Phat đe phuc vu cong cuoc xay dung, bao ve To quoc, cham lo cuoc song cua nhan dan, gop phan xay dung nen van minh Đai Viet thinh tri trong hon hai the ky.
