The contributors to this volume come from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and they write from differing theoretical and methodological perspectives. Together, however, they raise many important practical issues, bordering on ongoing conversations on ethical, bioethical and socio-political challenges. They interrogate the ethics of individualism and communitarianism, race and class matters, as well as legal and political issues in Africa and America.
