This book discusses the religious climate in Nigeria, it looks at the relationship between Muslims and Christians and suggests techniques for the successful conduct of an interreligious dialogue. The book is divided into seven chapters and a conclusion. First it discusses interreligious dialogue, its definitions and connotations and the book's limitation to only Islam and Christianity as subject matter. Next it describes Nigeria's religious climate and the factors responsible for the attitude of Muslim and Christian religious groups towards each other, such as the missionary nature of both religions, the press, external influences, rivalry and incitement. The status of Nigeria as a religious State or a secular society is then discussed. Next the role of the Holy Books in interreligious dialogue is treated, and the modus operandi of interreligious dialogue.
