The aim of the project was to produce an educational tool that would be useful to all students and researchers of the Pacific. This is why the symposium, and the present book which has resulted from it, has brought together historical studies on the development of the Pacific Way theme since 1970 and studies on the contemporary period, bringing together the political, sociological-anthropological and economic dimensions which reflect the richness of this reference to the Pacific Way.
