The book From Ben Hai River to the Independence Palace is the memoir of Major General Hoang Dan, recording his combat and commanding experiences in major campaigns of the Vietnam People's Army. The book realistically recreates important battles from the resistance war against the US, especially the 1972 Quang Tri Campaign, where the 304th Division under his command fought fiercely to hold the battlefield, and the 1975 Ho Chi Minh Campaign, when our troops entered Saigon and liberated the South.
