Education is an instrument of change for economic, emotional, mental, psychological and social well-being of individuals in the society. It is conceived to be one of the most important assets that parents should bequeath to their children, because it would make them self-reliant and empowered to fend for themselves and others around them. To this end, the Nigerian governments at all levels of educational system emphasises self-reliance as one of her cardinal goals with a commitment to ensuring its provision in the National Policy on Education (FRN, 2013).
