The three fond memories of my childhood, teenage, and early adult years are still missing as I approach becoming an octogenarian. They are: educational excellence, meritocracy, and strong institutions. Having affirmed that Nigeria today is still not working, the obvious question is: What will make Nigeria work? My bold answer is that getting politics right is the sine qua non for making Nigeria work. An elaboration of this answer is provided in Part Two of the monograph: Getting Politics Right to Make Nigeria Work.
