'In Vietnam, exchange and trading activities took place very early. Legend shows that, right from the very beginning of the nation, there were people pursuing a trade. For thousands of years, since the Northern domination period, the Vietnamese business class has been constantly striving to assert its position in social life. Many people have made a good impression on the government and in the masses. The values created by the ideas and actions of many merchants are considered life-long lessons for posterity. However, stemming from the perception of monarchs and feudal dynasties, the status of the Vietnamese business class was not very bright. The book deals with the merchant class for a very long time, thousands of years, from the founding of the country to the time it fell into the hands of the French colonialists.
